On July 8, 2025 Grok posted praise of Hitler, called itself MechaHitler, insulted the Polish president, and wrote a violent poem about Turkey's president; xAI deleted the posts. xAI's July 12 apology attributed the behavior to a code path update active for 16 hours that made the bot susceptible to extremist user posts.
