A boy in Xinjiang was reportedly kicked in the abdomen by a humanoid robot during a public performance at a scenic-area amusement venue. The robot was doing martial-arts-style moves near children without clear barriers. His mother said he was not seriously harmed. The cause of the kick was not established.

What this means for youRobots used in public shows can hurt people if children stand too close. If you run or visit a venue with robots, check that there are barriers and that staff can stop the machine quickly.
