Turkish national Melih Göğebakan reportedly posted a purportedly AI-generated image on LinkedIn showing himself with Eric Trump while promoting the Trump Hotel Dubai project. He allegedly presented himself as linked to Trump-affiliated groups. He was separately accused of visa-related fraud; reporting does not link the image to those losses.
What this means for youFake images made with AI can make a person look connected to famous people or brands. Before trusting a business pitch that relies on a photo with a well-known figure, check the claim with the named organization directly.
