Uber was alleged in a lawsuit to have provided incomplete notice about automated decision-making and profiling for drivers such as information about their driving behavior, and use of phone.
What this means for youIf you drive for a ride-app or gig platform, you may have a legal right to know how automated systems score your behavior, such as driving or phone use. At work, ask your platform what data it collects about you and how it is used. For government, this shows why clear notice rules for automated profiling of workers matter.
