Seth Rudetsky, a Broadway performer and SiriusXM host, reportedly received a personalized invitation purportedly from Nikki Glaser's podcast. Scammers walked him through Facebook permissions in a fake technical setup, and he lost access to his page. He said a former marketing company was also compromised. Reporting called the invitation most likely AI-composed.
What this means for youScammers now use AI to write convincing, personal invitations that look like they come from people you know or admire. Before you grant anyone access to a business or social media page, confirm the request through a separate, known contact and check which permissions you are approving.
