A February 12, 2026 Replit community forum post reported monthly credits completely exhausted (100% used) by agent work on a React + MongoDB prototype that was never deployed publicly. A reply documented the auto-billing mechanic: once the included $25 credits are exhausted, usage continues and generates a new bill invoiced every $60. The user's only intended actions were running the app locally and making small changes.

What this means for youAt home or at work, if you use an AI coding agent on a subscription, usage can keep running past the included credits and add charges you did not expect. Check your billing page for auto-billing or overage settings, and turn off automatic charges or set a spending cap.
