KPMG published a report on agentic AI in October 2025. GPTZero later reported that only five of 45 citations accurately matched their sources, and others had flawed details. The pattern reportedly suggested an unverified LLM research tool, but the system and extent of AI involvement are unconfirmed.
What this means for youReports from big firms can contain made-up or wrong sources if AI tools are used without checking. At work, check key citations in any report before relying on it or passing it on.
