An online article reportedly used AI-generated imagery to falsely show ABC presenter Alan Kohler interviewing Reserve Bank governor Michele Bullock about Boulder Sparhaven, a crypto trading platform not licensed in Australia. What this means for youFake interviews with trusted journalists and officials can now look real, so a familiar face is not proof an investment is genuine. Before putting money in, check that the platform is licensed with the financial regulator, and be wary of any article pushing a trading platform.
