Amazon delivery drivers were allegedly forced to consent to algorithmic collection and processing of their location, movement, and biometric data through AI-powered cameras, or be dismissed.
What this means for youAt work, delivery drivers may be watched by AI cameras that record their location and biometric data, and consent may be a condition of keeping the job. Governments may want to set limits on how workers' biometric data is collected. If you or someone you know drives for a company, ask what cameras record, how long data is kept, and whether you can refuse without losing your job.
