Vigilo Verify privacy policy
Vigilo Labs LLC. Effective when the extension is first published.
What Verify collects
Only on the AI sites on Vigilo's list (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, Meta AI, Character.AI, Poe), and on sites your household or company adds and you allow:
- Prompts and answers. The text you send to the AI, and the text it answers.
- Pastes. That you pasted, and how many characters. The pasted text itself only when your household or company has set the site to warn or block.
- Files. The name, size, and type of a file you give the AI, including an image or file you paste. Never the file's contents.
- Places. The website a link on the AI's page took you to: its address, not the page.
- Times. When you opened and left the AI site.
- The kill switch. When it was used, and by whom.
Nothing is collected on any other website.
Where it goes and who can see it
Everything goes to Vigilo's servers as it happens.
- The record. Each event is added to a hash-chained record that cannot be quietly changed.
- Who can read the words. The text of prompts, answers, and kept pastes is encrypted with a key belonging to your household or company. Only you, and the admins of your household or company, can read it. Other members see that something happened, not what was said. Vigilo staff cannot read it.
- Blocked pastes. When your household or company has set a site to block pastes, what you tried to paste is still kept, encrypted, for its admins, even though the AI never received it.
- Previews. Email addresses, social security numbers, card numbers, and phone numbers are removed from any preview.
What Verify never does
- It never sends anything to an AI, and never changes what you type.
- It never holds your passwords for any AI service.
- It never reads websites that are not on the AI list.
- It does not sell or share your data, and it is not used for advertising.
Children
A household admin can watch a child's AI use. The child's browser shows, on every AI site, a line saying the household can see their AI use. It cannot be hidden.
Keeping and deleting
Records are kept for as long as your household or company has Verify. Ask the admin of your household or company, or write to admin@vigilolabs.ai.
